Classic Rock Presents…Prog! Onsale Wednesday, March 25th!

terrybezer / Top Posts / 23/03/2009 11:27am

If you dig prog, you’re going to love Classic Rock Presents…Prog!

A quite progtastic and lavish wallet houses the very first issue of Classic Rock presents Prog, our brand new quarterly magazine devoted to all matters progressive. In fact, we’re betting that our new work of art ends up on more than a few readers’ bedroom walls.

Cover stars Pink Floyd are looked at in depth in the magazine, with an exploration of where the three surviving band members go from here. There’s also a look at the mercurial career of founder Syd Barrett and an unpublished interview with the late Rick Wright.

Other prog giants feature in issue 1. We talk exclusively to current Yes singer Benoit David, explore the extra-curricular careers of Messrs. Emerson, Lake and Palmer, talk to Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson about “the mother of all concept albums” and discuss Rick Wakeman’s plans to perform a lavish production of The Six Wives Of Henry VIII at Hampton Court Palace in May.

Elsewhere Rush’s Neil Peart proves to be a more than amiable host, Marillion’s Mark Kelly revisits the band’s massive Garden Party show at Milton Keynes in 1986, author Rich Wilson reveals the story of working with Dream Theater on their recent book and Coheed & Cambria’s Claudio Sanchez reveals his passion for comic books.

There’s also a free CD with issue 1 featuring over an hour’s worth of music, which highlight’s our desire to champion new progressive talent as well. Too that end you’ll find features on the likes of Pure Reason Revolution, Demians, Panic Room, The Reasoning, Esoterica, Pineapple Thief, Frost* and Blood Ceremony. Who says prog rock is an old man’s game?

Issue 1 is on sale from all good newsagents from March 25. Miss it and you’ll be getting your cloak!

Also, be sure to bookmark this page and come back every day for all of the best from the world of prog. There will be all the latest prog news, the monthly Classic Rock Progcast podcast and regular prog blogs from Classic Rock Presents…Prog editor, Jerry Ewing.

I’m a subscriber of Classic Rock, and I live in Italy. Please, let me know how can I subscribe to Classic Rock presents Prog since number One!!
Please….

Where can i get a copy? will it be available online?

I bought a copy yesterday and really enjoyed reading it; however, I was surprised it was going to be a regular publication, I’d assumed it was an occasional special. All of these articles would have fitted really well in any edition of Classic Rock and I worry we’ll see a dilution of quality in CR as material is held back for the Prog Rock. Hopefully this won’t prove to be the case but I love the broad base of CR (which I’ve bought from Issue 1) and wouldn’t like to see that narrowed down or become too specialist. I’m not terribly sure where the dividing line is, I thought Purple & Zep were progressive bands too back in the day!

Cant find it anywhere Manchester region!

Got my Classic Rock May subscription today 26th March followed the link to myfavouritemagazines.com to get the Prog mag and its sold out!…. and none to be seen in the shops! Has it sold out in one day? How about a print rerun? I have all 131 mags and specials since day 1 – gutted!

Geoff Howard

Very disappointed, was about to purchase a copy of Prog this afternoon and was shocked when sales assistant quoted £7.99. Considering the magazine is encased in a fairly thick card sleeve making it a relative thin magazine when compared to a standard issue of Classic Rock, coupled with what I suspect is by and large a rehash of previously printed material, a quite expensive issue, such a shame as it could have been isued at the price of a normalissue of CR…

Geoff Howard

Disappointed, seems you are not prepared to print negative comments.

I’m another one who can’t find it in the shops and would much prefer to subscribe – how can I do it please?

Steve Evans

Hey, where’s the daily blog then?

Love the mag. I’m not alone!!! Great to see prog new and old in it’s own magazine!

Nice one.

Cheers n’ go’bless

Steve

There seems to be a slip in the space time continuum somewhere between the CR printers and the south west of England; no sign of a progmungous issue in these parts either.

Peter Anderson

Can’t find it in Glasgow. Phoned the subscription helpline and they weren’t able to help.

Loads of mags in London shops. Got mine no problem – a really good read. I already subscribe to Classic Rock and am happy to subscribe to Prog also. Such a mag is long overdue and I’m delighted with this great initiative.

Prog Prof

The Unitopia Fan Club in the USA loves your new Prog Magazine. Working to bring you 7,000 new fans!

Prog Prof

Please add Unitopia to your list of Prog Bands!

David PEarson

Tried three places so far, including a very large Tesco – no sight of it anywhere. Specialist newsagent says they can’t get a copy from the distributors.

Just wait and see – Classic Rock will say it didn’t sell and pull it from being a regular – and all us prog-hungry folk will miss out (again).

I don’t believe there is such a thing as this Prog Mag and if there is it must be for London only. My last ditch effort is Derby city centre. Almost everyone has the regular Classic Rock mag of which I have purchased easily. Maybe Prog is not for peasants like us. Out of all the variety of music I like, Prog seems to be the most entertaining to read about. Give me Floyd, Hawkwind, Purple and the like and I am on ‘happy cloud’. I believe Progressive Rock started with Telstar and is alive and kicking today. Anyway, any sightings of the Prog issue? Is anybody out there?? Do we have to beg?

Malcolm M

I have tried all the newsagents, petrol stations and supermarkets in West Lothian and not a copy to be seen.

C’mon guys I think a reprint is required as you seem to have underestimated the number of cape wearers outside of London.

Like a few in the posts above I have all the CR mags and want to add this to my list. Get those presses rolling – PLEASE.

Kevin McFarlane

For anyone in the Milton Keynes area, you won’t find it in WH Smith but you will find it in Borders.

Mooncat

No sign of it in the Sunny West Midlands either. There seems to be a distinct lack of knowledge about it too.

Finally ! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have waited sooo many years to find something like this. Please convey the gratitude of all of us who have loved prog for decades, and have had to put up with the hatred of the press for it, to whoever made the decision to start this quarterly move. We love you!

Colin Leppard

Not available anywhere around here. So, decided to opt for inernet site only to read:

Sorry, this item has sold out!!!!

Gutted. Missed out on the earlier ‘Blues’ Special as well! How do we resolve this?

Colin

Jon Wilkins

No sign of the new mag in Newport, South Wales, as rare as rocking horse shit – please explain, please supply!!!

I ordered a copy 3-4 weeks ago through my local newsagent. He has been trying to obtain a copy, but his suppliers are having difficulty in obtaining the magazine. I have tried numerous other newsagents locally, but not a copy in site. Is there any chance of getting a copy URGENTLY dispatched to Blackfield Newsagents, near Southampton.

Northern boy

I have yet to see a copy in Greater Manchester the third largest city in England, could you sell it through the web site or let potential readers know of any stores which are actually stocking and selling it.

Colin Leppard

Sold out? Once again, I am deeply upset that I have missed yet another Classic Rock Special! I missed the ‘Blues’ Special last time and now, even more of an upset, I have missed the ‘Classic Rock Presents Prog’ special (my favourite music!).

As a subscriber to the excellent Classic Rock Magazine, I think that this is poor show. How can we resolve this? I would even be willing to subscribe to the ‘specials’, if it was the only way of my obtaining a copy.

With the above in mind, assuming that there are others like me who are getting the “Sorry, this item has sold out reply”, would it be worth setting up something to see how many of us there are? Might be worth a re-print?

I can’t find this anywhere. I’ve been looking since the 25th, is it sold out or is it just not being stocked in North London / Essex?

andy spink

Bought my copy at mnm newsagents in macclesfield, cheshire if thats any help. They’re situated in the town centre. They stock every type of music magazine that are often difficult to find.

Fred Dwarf

I absolutely loved the Classic Rock ‘Prog’ magazine. All i can say is keep up the good work for future issues and can we have more Magenta please!!

Genesis Joe

I’m another who can’t find the Classic Rock Prog mag.
Why no comments from the magazine itself? Perhaps it’s an April Fool’s joke!!

I supply newsagents with confectionery in Kent area and have not been able to find prog mag!

Good comment Northern boy, we should know who is stocking PROG locally and nationally.
Come on publishers what is your answer to the non appearance of the magazine?

You’re kidding with the cover price, right?
I picked up issue one together with this month’s Mojo and was taken aback when asked for £12.29
Mojo = £4.30, CR Presents Prog = £7.99!

Issue one may sell out as a “collectible”, but after that? With a cover price of £7.99 you’re going to kill it before it gets off the ground.

cheers, Les (North Wales)

Ben Kavanagh

Great Mag I read it from cover to cover. Brilliant articles.well done all for keeping all us Prog Rockers in your thoughts.

Abel Ganz

I can’t find this in Glasgow. Anyone seen it here?

Northern boy

Classic Rock, when are you going to officially explain why so many people around the country are unable to find this magazine and provide some method for us to buy it.
In a period of recession it seems ludicrous that a business has got customers who wish to buy a product but the business is unwilling or unable to sell to them.
We deserve an answer

Henry Potts

Would love to get this mag, but I’ve tried about 10 shops around north London and while there are plenty of the latest issue of Classic Rock, not a copy of Presents… Prog is to be seen. And the online ordering is sold out.

Reading the other comments, I see I’m not alone, so please tell us how we can get copies!

Guys, where is it? I’ve been all over Glasgow, cant find it anywhere.

I was really looking forward to this….but ’tis no where to be found…in London! Is this a crap April fool’s joke? Very poor orgainsation by yourselves.

I ordered this online and paid for it to be posted to me, weeks ago in advance. They’ve definitely taken the money too. But no sign. Not impressed so far…

Paul McElroy

Tried Glasgow & Cumbernauld, can’t find the Prog mag anywhere. Subscription line couldn’t help me too. I don’t think it exists.

Graham Cotterill

Nowhere to be seen in the prog rock capital…namely Bognor Regis!!! No sign of it in Chichester either.

I found it with no trouble at all, try a main W.H.Smiths or a branch of HMV.
I’ve been sending copies to friends overseas too! Good read :-)

mick bryan

i am absolutely amazed that the time continuem between yorkshire n london continues,,, i tried ,n i tried to find a copy of prog meisters mag until i felt like blowin the house in!!!!but to no avail,,, where pray tell may i obtain the beast to apease myself of all things proggy,,, do not shun the northern folk ,,,, please

Ben Kavanagh

I got my copy of Classic Rock presents Prog in Easons in Galway in the west of Ireland the problem in this part of the world is Progressive Rock is not stocked in Record Shops.I only found out about groups like Spocks Beard and Galahad through the Magazine. I wish Record Stores would stock Prog but souch is life in Ireland. Thanks all in the comming months I shall collect as much as I can.

Peter Grey

If you like Prog, look out for ProgAlien at Myspace.

Gave up all hope of seeing a CRpProg today in Derby and then stumbled upon one in a small paper shop. They only had one and I got it. Enjoyable read. Better than CR and CR is better than any other Rock mag. I would hasten to say that WHSmith did not have it and they have almost everything you want and don’t want in the way of mags.Long live lumbering Prog.

curtis m

No sign of prog anywhere in south of scotland, subscription helpline as much use as a chocolate fireguard, very disappointing

Barry B

This is bullshit, anyone have an answer as to how to get a copy in the US?

Hi guys,
We’ve just been advised (for any Midlanders) that HMV have copies going in Wolverhampton.
Happy Hunting
Cheers!
Mike

Bill Collins

As a subscriber to Classic Rock,i am disappointed not to be able to subscribe to the Prog magazine,it would save a hell of a lot of trudging round different newsagents trying to find a copy!

I subscribe to Classic Rock and would like to get these Prog specials as well. It appears newsagents in South Wales ain’t got a clue! Can I subscribe and have them home delivered?

I got a copy yesterday,at W H Smith in Chorley town centre. They had plenty left… (:o)

Garry Davies

Love the magazine, cannot put it down! My world feels like it has got a whole lot better – especially knowing that the issues are going to be more frequent than I first thought :-)
well done ‘Classic Rock’.

Jonas Svensson

Finally, a magazine about prog. How can I get a subscription?
Great stuff/Jonas

This is an email I sent some friends

So as the British Rock magazines go, Mojo and Uncut I think are excellent. The “3rd” one I sometimes get is “Classic Rock”. But I usually pass because I just don’t need to rehash Thin Lizzy, Zep, Deep Purple, Queen, Sabbath for the millionth time! But I was on a plane trip the other day and picked up an issue of Classic Rock that was better than most, it seemed a little less stale with articles on the Stooges, and other less typical “hard rock” classic rock.

But the big surprise was discovering that Classic Rock is going to now start a quarterly rag on “Prog”. How cool is that?

See the thing about this British magazines is the they’ve discovered a very viable market of people who aren’t kids anymore, but are still into music big time. People like us, between 27 and 47. Where Uncut and Mojo have cornered the “real” classic rock market of Dylan/Beach Boys/Beatles/Stones/Who et al, “Classic Rock” magazine is now smart enough to try to capture the Prog market.

It just seems rather timely for me, since I’ve just gone through a major Prog focus, digging into dozens of the more obscure progsters that I never really got into the first few times. After spending my life examining popular and not so popular music, I’ve found the Prog holds a special sustained place in my heart. Because I love Rock but I also love complexity, art, and vision. Combine the two and you get Prog.

I think in some ways “Classic Rock” has figured out that many music lovers in our demographic — having pursued all types of music — are allowing a big portion of their listening time settle in with Prog, because it feeds a certain artistic complexity we need beyond what punk/billy/blooze can offer. Its like there’s no “denying” it anymore. We’re too old to just listen to punk and post punk. Our ears need more.

I haven’t picked up the first issue yet, but its on my to do list.

I feel quite smug about finding the Prog issue. I do wonder however why no-one can be diverted to a subscription page from here. Great magazine. I think Prog can be split into ‘mechanical’ and ‘organic’. Of course a lot of of Prog is ‘Storybook’. I think Progressive actually means ‘take the music and run with it’ Carry forward rather than something new. Anyway great mags.

John Myhill

Well, my wife managed to find me a copy (in Luton), although she also bought a dozen sewing magazines to hide it as she was embarrassed – cheek!

Despite my mild shock at the £7.99 price it’s absolutely brilliant, covers just about every prog-base I can think of, right down to a brief article on Talk Talk’s fantastic “Spirit of Eden” in an “is-it-prog” section, and a member of the Stranglers enthusing about the Caravan track “In the Land of Grey & Pink” which I often listen to on repeat! Can’t wait for the next – is it possible to subscribe?

James P

Yes I thought it was very good, BUT you have to be a Prog fanatic to buy it for £7.99! At that (hardback book)price it’s not going to encourage a new young, inquisitive readership. My friend is still trying to find a copy so maybe it is selling?!

Martin Morgan

Anyone still struggling to get a copy? – I have a spare unopened one I can post on if necessary

Neil Elliott

If you still have a spare then YES PLEASE!!!!!

George Grieve

It’s in all the WH Smiths I’ve seen.
I got mine at Glasgow airport and they had a pile…..
It is progtastic!

steve w

Wh smith in Harrogate has 4 copies if anybody is struggling to find the mag i bought it today its well worth £7.99 the cd is excellent , well done Classic Rock !

Olav M. Björnsen

Looks like this one is a success so far – people having problems tracking down issues, prog fans (seemingly) buying by the truckload – and the people making the mag too busy to even be able to follow up on blog matters and a newly made MySpace page after the issue was released.

May one hazard a guess towards there being prog explosions on many different levels at the Classic Rock headquarters these days?

Yadmaster

This is ridiculous.
I can’t find it. Anywhere.
CR pointed me to a website that was supposed to sell it, but it isn’t there either. Apparently I can’t subscribe to it as it’s only planned to be a quarterly, and that’s ridiculous too. OK – so it looks expensive, but I want one and that’s an end to it. Martin – please get in touch and I’ll buy yours. I’ll happily pay the postage!! You can find me on Facebook as Colin Yadmaster Seviour.

mable 101

like so many of the above I have been unable to get a copy of CR presents Prog. Shops can’t find it from wholesalers? CR website sold out almost before its issues! what gives? did you think it wasn’t going to sell? seriously pissed off – GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER

rich parker

C’mon, get yer act together Classic Rock.
I searched all over Derby for a copy of PROG, to no avail.
I tried my local newsagent (Who, incidentally stocks Classic Rock), who phoned his supplier whilst i waited, only to be told his supplier had never heard of it.
WTF?
As somebody said, in these monetary hard times, and with such an evidently big demand,…Well!

We expect better!

Very poor show, and i think you owe us a re-print!?

big stew

new prog mag is magic. I will definitley be buying more and subscribing when pos. balked at the price but glad I made the investment. carry on the great work.

Graham Cotterill

Finally got one in the prog rock capital, of sunny Bognor Regis. Really good but a bit pricey . Also the cd only has 10 tracks and the advert says 15. But my cd player says there is 11 tracks on it. I’m confused . What has happened to the other 5 tracks????

Just bought it and yeah it’s a decent read read but 8 quid for a magazine? It’s the same format as CR and probably the same amount of pages with a cover CD, so why £7.99? Sorry folks but have you heard about the credit crunch? I’m a CR subscriber which I’ll stick with and just hope that CR doesn’t reduce it’s Prog content.

Per Jægersted

Hi Martin
I’m interested in bying a copy. What will it cost including shipping to Denmark?
All the best
Per,
Denmark

jim morrison

please can you tell me where i can obtain the new prog rock magazine as i have been unable to locate it as yet when will it be on sale as it did not come out on the 25th march as advertised

thank you from a prog rock fan
jim morrison

Anyone struggling in the UK to lay hands on a copy, I recommend checking out your nearest decent size WH Smith. Thankfully WHS Livingston came up trumps for me.

Would recommend tracking it down. Whilst it did cause an intake of breath on seeing the cover price, there is a free CD included and decent coverage of bands that don’t get space in the mainstream CR mag – Pallas, Pendragon etc. Much as I adore the higher profile bands, I do hope they give the oxygen of publicity to other lesser known bands rather than rehash the same old tired Pink Floyd storylines.

There have been in the last couple of years other nice mag publications on the genre, Mojo Classic mag special edition being one that headlined I think on Pink Floyd…I say think because I foolishly lent these to a mate who hasn’t returned them yet!

Steve Fournier

Hey Martin,Sure would like to purchase the unopened issue you have! I will payfull cover price plus s/h

Steve

Simon Woodall

I’ve looked everywhere locally (in Southampton) for a copy but couldn’t find one, and have just tried through the Back Issues and have found that it’s sold out…damn!
It might’ve been over-priced but that hasn’t stopped people with exquisite taste buying it and supporting the new magazine…
I demand a re-print!

Steve Fournier

I subscribe in the states,3years now and would like to subscribe to Prog Rock! But was told it was sold out in the UK! When will this issue be on US stands, since it takes awhile to cross the pond?In a email that I sent, the answer you had given me was in March ! I have been checking the news stands since the release date and still nothing in the US.

Whats Up with this….

i live in the Italy how can i suscribe for PROG??

I too was a bit shocked by the price of the prog mag. I was hoping to buy both prog and classic rock. I may have to decide between them. I can’t believe that people are still struggling to get the Prog mag. Maybe Classic Rock now realise that there is a market and maybe they will include a subscription page complete with back issue orders.(I’m trying hard to throw ideas in here) Am I a dreamer? What about a piece on Space Ritual and Egg.

Kado malin

Is there anywhere to order this online?? Please if anyone knows of any site offering this let me know! Thank you.

Martin Morgan

FAO – Neil Elliott – you were the 1st to ask, so it’s yours – contact me via the forum – look in Prog & then the Yak thread – tag name is yaksongs

Cheers

It’s been going on e-bay for £25.00.
I want one, but not that much.

Please re-print!!!!!

Progless of Derbyshire!

Neil Elliott

MARTIN MORGAN – I have posted on your YAK forum, many thanks for this. Neil Elliott (Noggin)

There are 6 copies of the special in Marylebone station WHSmiths, if anyone in London is still having trouble…

Malekmo

I live in Australia, and therefore won’t be able to get a copy of Classic Rock Prog Special, can you please make it available for the future editions as I contacted Future Publishing and all editions had SOLD OUT!!! I live in an area where your circulation is very poor, thats why I describe to the regular edition, so PLEASE make it available to non UK residents!!! Thank You!

RAES MICHAEL

I wanted to buy this one during the weekend.Price on the cover 7,99 GBP, price scanned by seller 17,55 euro . When I point out this big difference the seller told me ” importtaxes “. Well sorry but that does not excist within the EU , so big scam. I’m sending a letter to Ministry of Economic Affairs for fraude.

Have been searching high and low for the past month in the Midlands. Could I find a copy? Could I bollocks. Who is actually distributing it, ‘cos I can’t find any major retailer that is!

ian Radbourne

I bought every issue of classic rock from number one up until last november when i got fed up of the lack of prog coverage and the endless writings about led zep. the new prog rock mag is just what i and all those other ‘oldies’ i see at the gigs of Pendragon , magenta, spocks beard, etc’ have been waiting for. We all know that it is overpriced and the way i saw the copies selling like hot cakes in W H Smiths may be the price will come down. Can’t wait to see a clive nolan article and may be a piece on polish prog like satellite. just one little request. Please keep radio head to a minimum because they say they aren’t prog and i think they are not worthy of the label. Muse, coheed , mars volta etc are worthy though. thats it , im off to see the reasoning at the peel . THANKS FOR THE MAG

Steve Fournier

Someone from Classic Rock told me this issue will be on stands in the USA around April25th !!! I guess we will see if its true!

If someone has a extra copy w/CD would love to buy it from you!!!

Thanks…Steve

Barry Lowe

Given up trying to find it – tried more than 10 locations including large WHS stores (Manchester) with no luck.

Please reprint. Barry

I’ve looked in Horsham Harrogate and Liverpool and still can’t find a copy of this magazine!

Found 1 today at WH SMITHS Beckton East London.
Still 2 left.

Couldn’t find one in anywhere in Bristol (Tesco’s WHSMiths etc etc) and then found one at Belfast airport. Trust I don’t need to go there to get the next issue! :-)

Pricey, but then I did read every article, more than I do with CR itself…

Samantha

Hi
We have been looking for weeks for this mag and just bought one on ebay, so might be worth a look if anyone still desperate! He has another 2 mags for sale, might be worth a look – item number 200335291188, seller name baldyjunior and seems to have good feedback.
Happy reading!

What about Malta? No sign of it. Please supply!

Hugster

I’ve tried: Gloucestershire, Bristol, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire & guess where I found it?!? Today at the WH Smiths in Edinburgh Waverley train station – and plenty of them there still!!!

I am in the USA. Still can not find a copy of the first issue. It does not seem to be stocked by the booksellers who bring in Classic Rock. Is there a delay in it arriving in the USA? What about subscriptions, the link only tells me that the first issue is sold out.

Starship Trooper

I have search all the shops for a copy of this in my area and cant find it anywhere. i can i get hold of it and further issues?

George Marple

They had some copies recently in WH Smiths, Waverley Staion Edinburgh.

Can’t wait for the second issue of Prog. Don’t expect an easy find again.

DepotGhost

Brilliant magazine!!! More – much more – please???

Jay G M

Have searched high & low for the Ist issue but to no avail. Is it still available & from which newsagents?

I got the magazine no bother at all in EHS Smiths in Glasgow on the day of release.
I read everybodies problems trying to get it so I tried to place an order to subscribe to it through this site.
The person who took the call said that the magazine has been discontinued!
I told her that the magazine is been advertised as being out 4 times a year, but she said that they have taken the decision to shelf the project!
Bad news for us I’m affraid!

You’ve certainly underestimated the print run of the ‘Prog’ magazine! I’ve tried various shops in the area, had supplliers rung up- all to no avail. It’s just not good enough. A written apology in the next edition of Classic Rock and an explanation at the very, very least please! And £7.99! I’m not an MP-I can’t put it on expenses!

Gene Bolan

While the magazine was vibrant, well written and wonderful, for its first run of all things Prog, not a mere mention of the Moody Blues, who were one of, if not the “prog”enitors and most successful of the movement is a glaring oversight and left me nonplussed, nettled and none too happy.

This is starting to bother me the more I think about it.
Although I bought mine in WHS Smith (correct spelling this time!) on the day of release, I did look out for it in any other newsagent and supermarket I was in and I didn’t see it anywhere.
Trouble is, if theyhave shelved the magazine project indefinately due to poor sales, why didn’t they make it easier to buy?
Prog is very popular, surely plenty of us want to have a specifically devoted magazine?
This doesn’t make sense!

David

Martin Morgan

I still have one copy to post to anyone who wants one – see the Yak thread on the Prog section of the forum

Cheers

Martin

Van Der Lemming

After trying around 25 newsagents in the Bristol area finally found a copy in Temple News Victoria Street. A great read, but I’m confused. The above article states the Floyd issue is No 1. On the spine of my mag it stetes “08″. Has there been seven previous issues? The next issue is said to feature VdGG, so I must get that!!

CHRIS STEVENS

Like a lot of people I haven’t seen a copy anywhere. However for the last few years I’ve been trying to get a copy of “Q Classic, Pink floyd and the story of Prog Rock” the ultimate collectors edtion. It finally arrived this week. It originally came out in 2005 and was £5.99 plus p&p it came to £7.99 which apparently is the price of the Classic Rock issue. It doesn’t have a thick card cover and including the cover has 148 pages. It might be a few years old now but it sounds better value!
Maybe Classic Rock should consider reducing the price of future issues. Judging by the comments some people aren’t very happy!
As I haven’t seen a copy yet does the Classic Rock version have any similarities to the Q Classic mag?

Chris

Paul Flynn

Is this prog special available in Ireland? cannot find the damn thing anywhere!!!!
C’mon Classic Rock your main mag sells like hot-cakes here in Ireland, lets get the finger out shall we!!!
Many Thanks

Cooperman

This is impossible to find! Please Classic Rock do the decent thing & put something in the magazine to admit that this has been a poorly executed release. Put something on the Webpage but make it useful – like where we can buy the damned thing – instead of the bland fob-off you put on last time. Why pretend it’s available everywhere when it clearly isn’t – just admit you’ve made a cock up & tell us what you’re going to do to fix it!

Obscured By Clouds

“…Contemporary touchstones are Type O Negative and Mastodon’s artier moments. Floyd devotees set the controls for arty grunge. …Although obviously conversant in UK 70’s prog, Portland’s William Weikart also knows his way round a doomy riff and a grunge melody. …When they stick to the more straight forward heavy psychedelia however, the results are exceptional and impressive.” – Classic Rock Magazine (London UK) April 2009

“Tough, fervid and intense, at various times over the course of Psycheclectic they resemble a more inspired Soundgarden with a bigger paintbox. …It’s surprising and instructive to discover how well their brawny, muscular, scruff-of-the-neck acid rock offsets and complements… It’s an aural entente between UK and US psych templates, no less…” – Shindig! Magazine London, UK

“An ambitious prog-rock album where surface-sutured layers of trippy textures and trances melt into ominous simmering swatches of deep-seated psychotronic sensations before slowly coalescing together again.” – Creem Magazine September 2008.

Martin, have you still got a spare. I’ve left a comment on the Yak forum. Jorge, 14.

Simon McG

I’ve been keeping an eye out for this since it was first advertised and I can’t find it anywhere! I subscribe to Classic Rock and can never get enough of a fix of rock music, and prog in particular! Shouldn’t it be available whereevr Classic Rock is, and if not why not? Will back issues be available? is there a subscription available? These questions need answering.

Mike Lee

would love to subscribe here in the USA. Can’t find it anywhere round here

Dave Hill

What a cock up the prog issue has turned out to be. Having spent weeks trying to find a copy I resorted to looking on Ebay only to find it is going at £20 a time. Come on guys, get you act together. P*****off subscriber.

I just got in the new Classic Rock magazine here in the US via my subscription. In it is an add for Classic Rock Presents Prog stating issue #2 will be out in May. I cannot find issue #1 here in the US so am I out of luck on this issue too? I have been a loyal subcriber for years and feel very much left out in the cold. Prog music is the love of my life and I read anything I can get my hands on.

Ditto the other comment….

I’m in the USA and want to subscribe to PROG quarterly magaine — please tell us how — the subscription page doesn’t include this info?!

I also live in the U.S.A. and would love to know how I can subscribe to or obtain the Prog quarterly mag.
It sounds fantastic.

I phoned the subscription line and was told that the quarterly Prog mag project has been cancelled!
They told me that the first issue already out will be the last!
Sorry guys…

David

Check out Progression Magazine. They’ve been covering prog exclusively since 1992. It’s an excellent publication.

Odd comment about Prog being cancelled. The June issue (132) has a full page ad (pg 75) stating that Prog issue number 2 will be on sale on May 20th???????

I live in the U.S. and subscribe to CR. How can I subsribe to Prog? Thanks.

I live in the U.S. and subscribe to CR. How can I subscribe to Prog?

Been looking, been in countless shops in six different towns no sign of Prog Rock mag, hopefully i’ll get the next one.

Classic Rock Mag ; please do the decent thing and reprint the Prog magazine. Couldn’t find it anywhere, then discovered that it was sold out and now the only copies are 25 quid a go on eBay. Own up guys ; Its been a bit of a cock up!

Cemre Zor

It has been mentioned in the ad of Prog on the June issue of Classic Rock that the first issue is still in the market; and the new one will be released by 20th. Cant find the first one anywhere, where the hell is it? whsmith doesnt even recognize its name in its database. Agree on the reprint issue, please do it.

i live in the scottish borders and if you guys in the cities cant find a copy i aint gotta cat in hells chance down hear , i get classic rock religiously but never seen a copy of prog so come on guys lets have a re-print

Tony Giles

Well, what can i say.I have loved Prog now for many years so you can imagine my delight when i heard about your latest mag.I have bought CR since it first came out and only wish i could say the same for the Prog mag but what a bloody disgrace. No shops in Taunton seem to have heard of it and it is on no Database anywhere.I think you guys have cocked up big time n i m even considering n ot buyin CR again cos i am so annoyed.Sort it out guys!!

John David Miller

Ordered Prog from papershop. Suppliers have 2 seperate listings. One for Classic Rock, and one for Classic Rock Presents. £7.99 is a bit of a rip off though, considering it is no bigger than CR. Come on guys, be fair!

Found it at Schiphol airport this morning, due it’s sort of a collectible issue I paid 21 euros for it, which I found quite expensive for a magazine.

Hope number 2 won’t be at this price and easier to find!! Cheers.

Anthony E. Sacco

Where I live here in the states, I found a copy of Prog last week, and there were still at least 2 or 3 copies unsold! If I can get them for whoever contacts me first, I will.
seaguy3000@gmail.com

North London people – get to WH Smith’s in North Finchley if you still want to get issue 1, apparently they have 14 copies in stock but they will be returning them soon ready for issue 2 due out next week.

North London people – apparently WH Smiths in North Finchley have 14 copies of issue 1 in stock but you will need to get there soon as they will be returning unsold copies shortly ready for next week’s issue 2, due out 20th May.

Martin Morgan

There is one copy left in WHS in the town where I work, although the card cover has been opened & ripped slightly – contents still OK
If anyone wants me to get it & post it to them, contact me via the Yak thread in the forum

Cheers

Martin

Sina Golestaneh

Dear Martin would you just please go buy it?! I’m a prog lover from Iran and I have no access to any music magazine of any kind and I’m just dying to get my hand on this magazine, I was able to find some Classic Rock magazines here in Iran (before Ahmadi Nejad of course!) and I know that’s a great magazine (just like great England’s rock music) and I’m praying to find the prog magazine somehow

if anyone could send me the printed version I’ll pay any price, or even the PDF version…

I’ll check my email and here hoping to see any positive reply…

Van Der Lemming

Further to my blog last week, I emailed the subscription dept but was told I couldn’t subscribe, but could buy issue 2 direct. Today I phoned 01858 438794 to be told issue 2 was sold out!! When I stressed that it wasn’t actually available until next week (May 24th), the girl said that they were “probably all sold out on pre orders”. What a load of crap. Future really don’t seem to have any idea of what they are doing. Keep trolling round the newsagents, guys – maybe we’ll get lucky?

please…how can I subscribe to this prog magazine???? I bought the 1st issue….Fantastic!!!!!

There are lots of copies of Prog left even in major cities here in Finland, maybe they’ll be returned to UK after June 14th when sales period ends. All prog fans of this small market will perhaps not discover this great magazine. But I did and enjoyed!

Issue 2 is out there today and the CD includes a great new track from Dream Theater!

Van Der Lemming

SUCCESS! I got issue 2 on first attempt, despite being told by the subscription department that it was all sold out on pre orders a week before it was issued! WH Smith in The Galleries central Bristol had loads on the shelf – hopefully distribution has been sorted? It’s not all good news though. Issue 2 is predominately new and “pseudo” prog; if this is going to be the norm, I shan’t be shelling out £8 for issue 3. You can please some people some of the time…..

I’m outside europe, and myfavouritemagazines.com won’t deliver! what the hell is going on, i already missed the first edition, and now the second too?

Spent most of my time trying to find Prog in the shops and was unable to find it, tried to subscribe, sold out. Went on E-bay and it was being sold at rubbish prices. Where can I get it or where can I subscribe?

Terry Jackson

Found the first issue of Prog at a Borders here in Houston just by happenstance a week or so ago and am absofreakin’ lovin’ it!!!! They only had two copies. When I went back early this week the other copy was gone. I have to search out the second issue now or I will go mad.

david edwards

Where can I get a copy of issue 1 of Classic rock-prog.

Finally, a magazine dedicated to Prog! Love the first issue! Keep up the great work!!!!

Miguel Jorge

I would like to subscribe to Classic Rock presents Prog ! I`m a subscriber of Classic Rock magazine since 2007/2008.I`m from Brasil , Soth America.
Just let me know how?
Thanks.
Miguel Jorge

Like many others I’ve subscribed to CR since issue one. I was looking forward to the Prog mag, but again, like many of you, there isn’t a copy to be had anywhere in Northern Ireland!

Garry Hewitt

As a regular reader of Classic Rock magazine, I with others are frustrated by our inability to purchase the PROG version. As your editor suggests ‘all good newsagents’ and a link to ‘My Favouirite magazines etc..’ being provided, I can only surmise that there was an extremely limited number of magazines available. Can I suggest a subscribing advert much the same as your own, thus making it easier for us Prog fans to get hold of what could be ideal material. P.S. I will still purchase Classic Rock.

I’m looking for a copy of the Prog Rock issue titled: CLASSIC ROCK presents PROG ROCK – YES AND THE STORY OF PROG ROCK. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Paul Watson

Not much luck trying to locate a copy of PROG in New Zealand, either. The magazine stores have said the usual Classic Rock distributors seem to think it was a very limited issue and was a one off! Bollocks!

Call me paranoid but do you get the feeling that Classic Rock couldn’t give a stuff whether its diehard readers get their hands on this mag or not? Hello…! We’re frustrated here !!!! All we can do is look at the cover and drool. Ironically, it’s the only thing that doesn’t rock about this mag. Getting it out to all the punters who are willing to pay for it.

The next time her majesty is dropping off a load of convicts into Oz, get her to send over a few issues of Prog to New Zealand on the way back please. Cheers!

The first issue is packed with great stuff, but starting off with an interview with Eric Woolfson and following it up with one with the late Rick Wright – that couldn’t have been better, but wasn’t mentioned on the shiny cardboard envelope. I’m glad I took a punt on this one!

Vincent J Parr

Can I still get the first issue. Please send me an e mail…..vp

G Elliott

Good magazine, however at £8 it is nothing more than a rip-off. Every article would fit nicely into Classic Rock Magazine. I will not be buying issue 2 as a point of principle.

£5 fair enough, £8 forget it.

We’re all asking the same thing – HOW CAN WE SUBSCRIBE TO THE NEW PROG ISSUES????? It would appear you don’t read your readers’ comments or surely there would be an answer among all the pleas! So, to add my small voice to the crowd HOW CAN WE SUBSCRIBE TO PROG????????????

Simon Haskins

Got issue 1 at WHSmith Carlisle no problem. It had a holder all of its own and stood out from the rest. Issue 2 was more of a problem, I think WHSmith were just giving it a go the first time around. My local newsagent eventually tracked it down under ‘Classic Rock presents Muse’. Now they’ve got a fix on it they are ordering future copies for me automatically. Give your local newsagent a go if you want to be sure of getting future copies.

With so much interest in this magazine, one would think it would be displayed everywhere around the world. What’s up with that??????

Mr.Helium

Nice…Prog.

Do you know something about Harvest ? Harvest Supports Marillion in Barcelona.
I think they are recording their first CD.

Harvest is good, good, band.

Listen and decide!

Love the new Prog magazine. I live in the US, near Detroit and haven’t had a problem finding it. Actually I’ve come across it by chance twice. Both issues. The only problem I have with the mag is the price. Over here it’s $15. The Prognosis CD really isn’t free at that price. Chances are good I’ll still buy future issues even at that price though.

Once again this question is asked- how can we purchase individual copies of Classic Rock Presents Prog or subscribe to it? The first issue came out in March and it has never been at either of my local Borders in Cranston or Providence, Rhode Island USA. Please help!

I finally found an issue of issue #2 at a local magazine shop for the unbelievable price of $25.95 Canadian. Not marked up, the newsagent tells me, the price they were told to charge for it.

They have 6 issues of the new issue and when I asked, apparently they had 6 of the first one too but no one bought it. Wonder why… what a ridiculous price for a magazine – that’s almost $30 Canadian and more than double the price of the Classic Rock, Mojo, Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Zero Tolerance and Kerrang! magazines in the same row and this.

I would absolutely love to support this magazine, but when it costs more than taking a family of four out to dinner – or a case of 24 beer – or two new CDs – I cannot justify it.

Matthew R. Starkloff

Hello,
I really like and enjoy Classic Rock presents Prog magazine. I just picked up the second issue and just love it. Is it possible to purchase the first issue? Also, will there be a time in the near future to subscribe to Classic Rock presents Prog or is this only for a limited time? I subsribe to Classic Rock magazine and totally enjoy that to. Thank you for all the information on Prog and Classic Rock.

Matthew R. Starkloff

Anyone looking for the new Prog mag, you can find it in Borders. Hope this helps. What I get bummed about though is the people who go to these stores and steal the free CD that comes with the mag. Not just Classic Rock, but all that come with one. I have recently subscribed to resolved this problem. Any thought to package these magazines in a brown paper bag or even a plastic one to prevent the 5-finger discounters. Can you put the Classic Rock presents Prog magazine up for subscription? That would be wonderful. So many of us want to subscribe and this would make all of us very happy. I would love to subscribe if available. I have looked through the pages of Prog and meticulously looked for anywhere to be able and purchase a subscription, but to no avail. What a bummer!

Looks like you guys miscalculated the number of proggers out there! I went into Barnes & Noble to get my CR issue and saw 3 Prog copies and grabbed one before the next guy could get it. Really, it seems that every time I go in to buy my CR, someone else is there for the same mag and we get talking about how great it is. Like the others, I want to subscribe to CR presents Prog. Let us know how!

Look may people I’ve failed dismally to locate either issue 1 or 2 in the shops and I’m desperate to get a copy. I don’t live in the depths of the country, but have never seen it. I don’t even mind paying the £8 charge. So please please please can you set up a subscription service if only on a issue to issue basis to enable us to see this excellent mag.

Thanks

Professor P.R.og

Ok still never seen one. The bloke in whsmith said I’d have more chance of being adopted by Madonna and Michael Jackson

Lennart Nordwall

How could Classic Prog be so expensive ?
I´m from Sweden. The price is neraly 20 euro. (185 kronor)

Fabián Velásquez

Hi, I live in México, let me know how can I subscribe to Classic Rock presents Prog since number One!!

Thanks

Dave Prime

What?! There’s a second issue out and I haven’t even found the first one yet! What the hell is going on? I saw and purchased all the previous prog specials but I haven’t had a sniff of these. And I can’t find them under ‘Back issues’. Why not?

Just bought 2nd issue. I’m from Queensland Australia. We have to pay 19.95 for it here, but its in all the newsagents, even in the backwaters!

Goretti

From Brisbane too & just secured an order for the next Prog Dose at Indooroopilly !!!

Please do not forget Aussy Prog !

Rand Stoner

I found it on newsstand here in Michigan of US. Very good mag and the cd was satisfying too. I’d subscribe to this if I could find an agent for such.

Hi,
I’m came from Jakarta, Indonesia.
How can I subscribe this magazine?

Please let me know how to subscribe the Prog magazine

Anthony G

What are the chances of Prog going out on subscription it is such a great mag and would not want to miss any issues, it is bad enough loosing out on so much good rock all the way down here in Africa

I’ve bought all 3 issues published so far and I’m more than pleased – I’d subscribe if I could without a doubt.

Here’s the buts…

Why is Prog twice the price of CR (which I get at a discounted subscription rate)? – If I’m paying four quid for a cardboard sleeve then stop that now!

Why has CR now gone prog-lite (comment applies to the free CD too)? Do you really want Prog fans to cancel their CR subscriptions?

Has anyone seen a copy of the Rush Prog Rock Special issue due out 5/8/09?

I live in Malta .How can I subscribe please ? If possible I ld like the previous copies too please

Picked up all 3 editions of Prog so far no problem at HMV or Bruce Miller’s in Aberdeen. My only gripe with the mag is that there’s been no in depth article yet on my local heroes, the mighty PALLAS! New album and gigs on the way though…happy days!

Gill Cowie

I have been trying to get the Pink Floyd and the Rush copy and cannot get them anywhere in the North East can you help rang the number in Classic Rock unable to help hubby most upset as two fav bands.

I picked up the first two issues and they were great. The CDs had some great new music on them.
BUT, at $25.00 Canadian I can’t justify it. Sure, it’s a great mag, but not worth twice the price of Classic Rock itself.
Even with Rush in the next issue, I’m done.

Jörge Barco

I devoured every page of Prog Rock’s second issue. Nice going, I’ll keep racking up the issues and checking out some of the new bands. It’s reassuring to see Prog alive and well, recruiting new fans around the world.
In reference to the 50 best Prog albums, it’s clear that some major landmarks were going to miss the boat, since we’re dealing with three generations of fans, many of whom have yet to discover the Classic Prog bands of old. It would’ve nice to see albums like Gentle Giant’s ‘A Glass House’ and PFM’s ‘The Island’, a true masterpiece, make the list.
I expect to see articles about unlikely prog greats Tears for Fears, one of the most commercially successful bands in this genre. It’ll be interesting to see material on Happy the Man, the Washington DC based group of the 70’s, Germany’s Passport, US’s Dixie Dregs, and no doubt, England’s XTC.
It’ll also be nice if the magazine could give us something on a recent band that evocates a little bit of CAN and Magma, The Matthew Herbert Big Band, whose album ‘Good-bye swingtime’ is just totally awesome.

any chance of prog going out on subscribtion

Neil Ellis

Great Mag but suggest all readers boycott the next issue until the cover price is substantially reduced. If quality mags like Uncut can do it , so can Prog.

Please consider this reasonable request.

Denis Morency

How can we get this super prog-mag in Canada…

Shep Kirkbride

Having been a Prog fan since the days of Captain Beefheart and Frank Zappa in the sixties (Yeh, of course they’re Prog) I am chuffed to mintballs that after all these years I can get a classy mag that covers my passion and more!
Great to know that you young ‘uns can still come up with the goods and I am loving every minute of it.
Addicted to the free CDs too…so much so my wife as started banishing me to the campervan to rock.
Any chance of an article on Francis Dunnery? He still has a great following and coming out with innovative stuff and I hear he is putting a Prog band together for his next tour. Go Frankie!
All in all a great magazine and even at a pricey £7.99 worth spending some of my pension on.
Keep on Progin’ Dudes!

Ray Prescott

where is CR Prog issue #3 ???
meant to be on sale Aug 5th – sitting here patiently tapping my fingers in Philadelphia for a month now ! numerous lunchtime strolls to my nearest Borders in centre city to no avail ! I know that it takes a while to ship stuff to the colonies but a month ?????? wtf !!!!!

I said I’d subscribe so now that I can I will.

However…..The price is still a bit on the expensive side (cf CR) which already seems to be discouraging others from signing up.

Why can’t PROG be produced at the same price as CR?

It leaves me a bit concerned that the high cover price risks sabotaging the magazines viability and that seems such a shame.

Drop the price and you’ll sell more copies.

Jaymes Wilson

Where the frig is the most talented prog metal band today DREAM THEATER!??

Mark Dahm

Kudos for a most excellent magazine. Heres to a cover story on the third wave of progs torchbearers THE FLOWER KINGS. Theres no doubt in my mind that these Swedes led countless people to prog or perhaps back into prog. These guys rule!!

Thanks Classic Rock for producing Prog! It is an excellent magazine, and, while it is expensive at about 8 quid, trying buying it in US dollars! I lived in Britian for a number of years and enjoyed myself. Great music! Great halls! Great atmosphere! Especially the Hammersmith!

I have just one request. Please bring us more information on the new bands in Progressive Rock/Metal. They are out there and need a voice. Why not give us a special issue highlighting them instead of Rush or Floyd or Genesis. We know about these great bands to the point of saturation!

michael collins

please tell me how I can get a copy of the first issue. I have the second and third and I love it!

Joe Verzin

Guitar and Rock magazines were starting to get hum-drum. Thanks for bringing back some fresh new blood. PLEASE include one of the greatest under appreciated “PROG” bands of all time: CAMEL. Andy Latimer has been very ill the past couple years and his achievements deserve some aknowledgement. They made some great unforgettable music and beautiful soundscapes – and I hope they will be able to continue.

Barry Lumsdon

Just managed to get my new copy of ‘Prog’ at WHSmiths, Sunderland, but it was the last in the store. Guy beside me said that local newsagents don’t stock it – not enough demand mainly because of the price being £3 more than CR, but early issues 1, 2, 3, are on ebay for £20 – £40!! Best idea seems to be to subscribe, especially with a discount.Great mag.
Any chance of a Keith Emerson interview? Thanks.

Great mag, echo the price comments. Can’t stop playing the freebie cd in issue 11, what a fantastic album, feels as though it’s a concept album from just one band. Keep it up.

mike hewetson [oracle]

its like a miracle that a glossy mag especially for prog has surfaced! ive seen prog hit its highs and lows since i became a fan in 1977 .maybe the internet has helped with this new surge.will send a copy of our new album to u soon[very retro, like marillion, ozrics, hawkwind] hope u can include a track on your next cd freebie.respect to all of you at classic rock.keep it going!

AT LAST!! A mag exclusively for Prog fans. Well done Classic Rock. Here in South Africa we feel like we’re in a wasteland with good music generally, let alone prog, which is very hard to get. Issues 1 and 3 were on sale at a local retailer (thanks for that), but didn’t see issue 2. I really hope this carries on, but I do feel that a subscription to Classic Rock should entitle you to a Prog subscription (reading about prog music was why I subscribed to CR in the first place, so now I get CR with little prog every month and shit off to find the prog content, which is why I signed up in the first place). At Prog’s cover price, this makes it a very expensive exercise. Anyway, I’d rather have it than not, so thanks again CR!!

We need some indepth write-ups on the emerging UK bands in order to bring attention to them and more importantly get people along to their gigs. Too many potentially huge bands are not playing live often enough. If they can get more bums on seats then touring will be justified and we’ll all reap the benefits.
So lets hear more about Mostly Autumn, Magenta, Pineapple Tree, The Tangent, Panic Room, Frost*, Breathing Space, Diagonal, Litmus, The Reasoning etc.

John Belam

I could not find prog magazine so never got Mags 1 & 2 WH Smith is the only stockist (big stores) and they sell out fast are there plans to reprint back copies with CD’s and be able to subscribe. bit to pricey too

Hi I’m Bruno from Italy. please, how can I get ProgRock issues since I regularly can’t find in the newshops? I can easily purchase monthly Classic Rock issue yet I never find progRock.
It’d be very kind of you letting me know about it.
Thanx and all the best.
Bruno

Jose J Delmas

I have subscribed (it is a great idea for those of us living abroad) and I have received the new issue. I supose it is a matter of reducing postage costs, but I miss the large cardboard sleeve that protects the magazine when bought at a newstand. The covers of those sleeves are a piece a prog rock art in themselves, IMHO. They would even look great on a T-Shirt.
This magazine is a must fot those interested in progressive rock. The CD sampler is also a great idea.

Paul Johnson

Check your local Sainsburys store, they seem to be stocking both Classic & Prog Rock magazine now!

The subscription issues DON”T come with the cardboard sleeve?????? W.T.F???
Thanks for the info. This means I WON”T be subscribing unless you change this folks.

The Count

When is the Jan/Feb 2010 issue of Classic Rock Prog due in the shops & what is the issue number?

art smith

can you add Progalien to the bands you cover IMHO have to be one of the new bands of 2010 to watch – love the mag BTW got it as a present so no supply issues everyone should have someone who knows how much you can love prog – Art

Couple of things – can you cover more emerging music please; the old stuff’s great but some of the new is as good if not better.
I refer to bands like Indukti, Unitopia and Ryan Downe. Also can you broaden the old horizons and cover fusion too? It’s very similar in execution (Brand X, Tunnels, Tribal Tech) and would offer welcome relief from all the prog-metal (yawn) stuff you do – don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with metal (Metallica at Nottingham Arena was the gig of the year in ‘09) but a number of mags cover it – branch out!!
Lastly what about the American jam bands? Guys like New Monsoon and Tea Leaf Green who mash it all up (Allmans meet Floyd, no really) and you can get tons of their live stuff free from http://www.archive.org legally!

I live in Ohio and it is EVERYWHERE!!! Check both Barnes and Noble and Borders chains. Great mag…stupid price!!!???
