Classic Rock’s been going through a load of CDs over the past week, ones that pile up unlistened, as you tend to go for the priorities, like those you have to review, or actually just want to enjoy. And as usual, it’s a case of some surprises (good and bad) and others which live up (or down) to expectations.
Now these chaps are what we call Cult Heroes. A band who hardly ever played outside of California, only released one EP and a single, yet had bands like Guns N’ Roses, Slayer and Poison support them! In this era, when bands are so careful about choosing their name, it’s interesting to look back at some of the names which have been shared over the years. Some almost inherited their name from a previous band. In other instances, one was forced to change!
