Kinks guitarist comes out from the shadows as reunion looms
Dave Davies is recognised as one of the pioneers of the guitar sound that’s helped to define rock and metal over the past 45 years and more. As The Kinks continue their reissue programme (their first three albums will be put out in deluxe formats next month), he talks to Classic Rock about these albums and his thoughts on a reunion.
This week, Mick remembers the late David Byron and Keith Moon, expresses relief at Abbey Road Studios being saved, recalls meeting Kris Kristofferson, celebrates the Nordoff Robbins charity, listens to Coverdale Page and has something to say about the Number 25 bus route. Oh, and some football club called Spurs win a match!
