Alice In Chains have begun writing songs for a new album, the band’s first since William DuVall of Comes With The Fall joined for last year’s reunion tour, replacing the late Layne Staley.
Status Quo, who’ve been confirmed for the Concert For Diana gig at Wembley Stadium on July 1, release a new album in September. In Search Of The Fourth Chord was produced by Pip Williams and will be on their own Fourth Chord label. They’ve also announced a string of dates for later this year.
Wolfsbane will be reuniting for a three-song set as part of former frontman Blaze Bayley’s performance at Rock Of Ages Festival in Tamworth on September 9.
Poison’s tribute album, Poison’d, is released via EMI on June 4. It includes the band’s versions of songs by The Sweet, David Bowie, The Cars, Tom Petty, Kiss, The Who and many more.
W.A.S.P. leader Blackie Lawless has denied reports that he was hospitalised after a curtailed gig in Karlskrona, Sweden. “Once again someone is trying to kill me off before my time,” he says. “Whatever happened to the idea of reporters checking their sources?”
