Hi, just thought I'd update this news snippet ... Gaskin indeed returned last year, folllowing the 30 th Anniversary gig with a further 25 or so through the year. The album is almost finished and sounding ... pretty damn good, we believe ! Hopefully when it's released Mr Dome can stop sniggering behind his hands ...... I'm not sure if "I'm No Fool" was near legendary, but Lars Ulrich must have liked it because it was considered for inclusion on the Garage Days Revisited EP, I believe .... Not sure who Messrs Pomeroy and Botting are (sounds like a pair of effete gardeners ?), but I have never heard of the Anthony Chinn Band or any of the weird song names mentioned .... by the way, I did see the thing about a NWoBHM supergroup featuring Stef that Classic Rock posted in relation to the Awards ceremony, thanks for that ..... sadly our great friend Stef Prokopczuk (his father was a Nazi death camp refugee who re-located to England by the way) passed away 3 years ago from a undiagnosed heart disase. He is much missed. Watch out for some Gaskin activity in 2011 !! x

Not for the first time. I saw them at Wacken in 2000.

Wacken went NWOBHM crazy that year with appearances from Angel Witch, Demon, Gaskin, Grim Reaper, Praying Mantis, Samson and Venom

Gaskin are a great band. Their song, Bartlett, is a classic. Not as good as the original Bartlett created by Ta Query, so they said.

I'm hoping they do a re-make of the song Great Walker by Burt L.

I have actually seen Gaskin years and years ago. The support group was The Anthony Chinn Band who didn't want anything to do with it. Their album 'looking back at Mayday alarmingly' was a classic. My mate Whispering John will be mega pleased about this gig, although he probably won't say much. He will be there at the The Nelthorpe Arms wearing his usual black.
