Winger returns for acoustic set
Kip Winger will return to Europe to perform an acoustic tour in September.
Hailed as “one of the most gifted composers and arrangers in the rock genre” by Classic Rock, he’ll deliver a set of classics in Ballymena and London, followed by a number of shows in Denmark.
This month his band Winger will celebrate their 25th anniversary by taking a break from work onthe follow-up to 2009′s Karma to perform two reunion concerts. Both will feature original keyboardist Paul Taylor, who’ll perform alongside current members Reb Beach, Rod Morgenstein and John Roth.
They’ll play 1988 self-titled debut album in full at the San Felipe Casino in Algodones, New Mexico on August 30 and at the Santa Fe Station Casino, Las Vegas, on August 31. The shows will be recorded for a future live release.
Winger is just about to complete touring duties as vocalist with the Alan Parsons Project, ending a series of shows in Germany on August 8.
