Who’s the latest to slam Led Zeppelin’s reunion plans? Paul Weller, of course…
World Entertainment News Network reports that legendary mod miserabilist Paul Weller is the latest to jump on the bandwagon and beef about Led Zeppelin’s comeback plans.
Weller also insisted he will never reform his former band, The Jam.
Zep members Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham announced in October that they plan to tour in 2009 without frontman Robert Plant.
But Weller hit out at Pagey and co for deciding to re-form without Percy — announcing he has “no interest” in seeing them play live next year and would “never consider a similar comeback for The Jam”.
Weller added: “There’s no point to it. I don’t understand the need for nostalgia.
“I don’t get it. I don’t know where it’s come from.
“I’ve no interest whatsoever to go and see people re-form, you know. I’m happy with what they’ve done at the time and the records and your memories, and that’s it really.”

Of course Paul Weller doesn’t get the ‘nostalgia’ thing.Same reason Robert Plant doesn’t get it. Because they don’t give a crap about the fans.Plant never has.With Plant, it’s always about him.Zeppelin and Zeppelin fans made Plant successful enough to do all these solo adventures.As someone who has seen every Plant solo tour and Page- Plant tour, I can say that I’ve followed Percy down some strange self indulgent roads. Not complaining, that’s what fans do.But Robert, how about throwing us a bone?The window for a full blown Zep tour is closing.And Robert doesn’t care. Prove me wrong Percy, PLEASE!!!
Vin Healey is right on the mark, robert is happy to collect the cash from the still selling led zepp albums, and the dvds but forgot the fact that there are millions of led zepp fans that have never seen the band live,
