Scorps great but in a rush, Michael Schenker on the friends tour fabulous. Main outstanding UFO, but that’s more to do with me being in the wrong place.
Billy Idol signs a lot of stuff. Saw him in Baltimore MD. In the USA and he was spotted outside before the show signing things for fans. He also sign during the show – if you have a marker. Sammy Hagar does this too. Idol also throws autographed items to tjhe crowd.
Arjen Lucassen was great. Stayed after the show and signed everything, posed for photos, chatted with fans – the lot. Metallica were really good, and Uriah heep did a meet and greet a couple of years ago and were really friendly.
Met Robert Plant about 15 yrs ago at a Fairport Convention gig of all places. SIgned an autograph for me and was a really nice bloke.
I remember being 16 and going to my first ever festival (Carling Leeds Festival 2002) and Andrew WK – he of Party Hard fame – was on the bill. He did a signing session in an NME signing tent which lasted half an hour and hardly anyone got to see him. After arguing with the organisers, the man picked up a huge sheaf of paper and a marker, marched out of the tent and went and stood in a corner by a fence and signed an autograph for EVERYONE who wanted one. And this is when his I Get Wet album was huge – there were a lot of people there. I have the autograph hanging on the wall to this day.
I’ve met many rock stars since then, but A.W.K made a real impression on me at what was pretty much my first real rock experience. Interestingly, I went to see him late last year in London on one of his Spoken Word Lectures (well worth going to see) where he signed my America-only Vinyl Import of his album ‘Close Calls with Brick Walls’ and I mentioned to him I’d actually met him at the Leeds Festival and he said, “Oh yeah, by the fence?” Awesome!
Whether you like his music or not, the guy cares a huge amount for his fans.
brent muscats band the sin city sinners have been great. because of them i have got to meet so many people. brent signed all my faster pussycat cd’s. i have got to meet phil lewis and steve riley of l.a. guns who signed alot of cd’s with no complaints. (wasp too).

I’ve got an Eagles “Long Road out of Eden” cd signed by all the Eagles, anyone interested?
I want to add Def Leppard to the list of best signers. We met them after every gig last summer when they toured with whitesnake and got photos, items signed, my wife got a kiss and a cuddle too. They were absolutely superb – if they ever read this, thanks for making my summer guys!
