Whitesnake have signed a new record deal – but so far frontman David Coverdale is refusing to say who this is with.
Says Cov: “[I am] delighted to report we are working with an enthusiastic, highly respected record company, whom at this time I am reluctant to name until they wish to make their own announcement. The album will feature all-new, fresh material.”
There are rumours that the label in question is actually Italy’s Frontiers – but far be it for us to speculate (ahem)!
Whitesnake were previously signed to German label SPV.

Great to hear Sir Cov’s back in the studio. Can’t wait to hear what the ‘Snake come up with. Something with plenty of smut please!

Strange EMI doesn’t want to re-sign Whitesnake…
It is Frontiers. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
EMI are fooked… they would rather sign an over the hill robbie williams than a rock band. Lets hope old cov’s voice is ok now… and why not get mr marsden and mr moody involved…the songs would be good for sure!
Well hope the new album is as good as the last. I know, WS are going to be realeasing some stuff this year, re-mixed stuff I think. Either way, good on ‘Em.
dunno whose company is it but I can answer “Big Al” with Marsden is not involved cos I saw him “playing a few weeks ago, it was very very sad to see, to say he lost it is still far from truth.
Long live the snake
If it’s Frontiers, it’s good for them. They really have a list of very good bands. They give a chance to everyone. Frontiers is keeping good old rock alive.
Let’s hope this continues for long and let’s hope also that new Whitesnake album is good as the last one.
How about covering Marsden’s Rory Gallagher shows Classic Rock?
Great that they have signed a new record deal -these days its great for bands to be signed with ANY company -the record industry is so shaky.
The last album was so great, hopefully they can do it again. Saw ’snake in 2008 and 2009, co-headlining with ‘Leppard, and they blew them off stage both years. Here’s to more of the same this year…..
