Scott Weiland Gets Shakes On A Plane
Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland suffered a seizure on a flight from Los Angeles to Miami this past Friday.
It was bad enough for the plane to make an emergency landing in Dallas Fort Worth airport, where the singer was rushed to hospital. However, it appears that Weiland made a quick recovery.
Rolling Stone is reporting that the plane’s staff called for medical assistance over the loud speaker and had to administer oxygen to the singer. Shortly after, Weiland regained consciousness and was in good spirits as he was taken off the plane for the hospital.
According to TMZ.com, Weiland has a history of seizures and was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.
Weiland duly went ahead with his show at Miami’s Mansion Club on Saturday night to celebrate the launch of his very own clothing line ‘Weiland For English Laundry’. Actress June Brown, whose character Dot Branning runs the launderette in TV’s EastEnders, was guest of honour. She described Weiland’s clothing line as “very stylish but subject to shrinkage at high temperature”.
