Scott Weiland has blamed the wives of band members for the downfall of Velvet Revolver.
Talking to Details.com, Weiland, who is now back with Stone Temple Pilots, said: “Everyone was a rock star. There were petty jealousies. Then the wives got involved with the business of the band, and that was the beginning of the downfall.”
When Velvet Revolver started out, Weiland claimed, “we had all been through the same experiences, and it felt like a gang”. But that all turned sour once the band’s better halves (or not, as the case may be) got involved.
Since Weiland left Velvet Revolver in 2008, the band have been searching for a suitable new singer, so far with no luck.

do aerosmith have the same problem?
Doe’s anyone care what a sacked emploree has to say? Oh wait, slash has an album on the way and so do pilots, yea I see what he’s doing, regreting he’s a complete prick…
Who cares? VR were a poor mans GNR & STP
If we’re all being honest both of their albums fell some way short of the mark… shame.
Oh Scott. I am sure that the problems had nothing to do with you and your drug problems. Get it together and stop pointing fingers.
02 – I believe you are correct! I love my wife to death but it’d be a cold day in hell when I got Gibson to airbrush her face on my frickin’ guitar. Sheesh…
lets be honest velvet revolver were good but not great. The weak point was Weiland,i was never a fan of his voice and lets be honest hes a prick and always has been and Stone Temple Pilots are one of the most overated bands ever.
Contraband is 1 of the best hard rock albums of all time
Will this bloke ever shut the fuck up?! He’s a classic oxygen-thief. Stick to making bad records, and stop being an Olympian bore, Weiland.
Espero que esto no sea cierto, xq sino vamos mal, ya cuando las esposas se empiezan a meter (N)
no queremos unas nuevas Joko Hono, locoo
Slash el mejor!!
I ve seen them live.
When Weiland attempted to sing a GnRs song ( I thing it was Sweet Child..), I realised that Velvet Revolver had no future with their wives….ehmmm sorry with him.
a quick message to scott weiland
STFU and look in the mirror what you see was the problem with VR.
Would you like to sink any lower, Mr. Weiland?
There were too many egos in that band – or rather Matt Sorum and Slash – if they had left all would have been ok !
