Vote In The First Classic Rock Present Prog Readers' Poll

We all know prog fans like a list to argue the toss over, so we thought we’d go the whole hog and celebrate the first year of Classic Rock Presents Prog’s existence by giving you the chance to vote in our very first reader’s poll. That should give us all something to chew the fat over for at least the first half of 2010.

In this electronic age there’s no need to go tearing a page out of your treasured copy of Prog having filled in blank spaces on a poll form with your relevant votes (although for old times’ sake, and we do like that on Prog, we might just do it for the hell of it in the next issue).

All you need to do is have a look at the categories listed, put your votes down on an e-mail, stick Readers Poll in the subject field, and e-mail us your entries to: voteprog@futurenet.co.uk.

If snail mail really is your thing, then simply send us your entries to: Readers’ Poll, Classic Rock Presents Prog, 2 Balcombe Street, London, NW1 6NW.

We can’t wait to see who you vote for and it’ll be interesting to see if the newer bands get a chance to shine against the more established acts who haven’t exactly been that busy of late.

That’s what I think. Haven’t been paying too much attention to new prog, but bands like Muse, Coheed and Cambria, and Wolfmother are bringing back some of those sounds…

Northern boy

Is this poll meant to relate to just this year or to the whole history of prog?
Your introduction could be clearer

This now seems to be circulating around the ‘Prog’ internet and many more have the same question and issue (as above):

Is this poll meant to relate to just this year or to the whole history of prog?

Your introduction MUST be clearer

Thanks

If, as they stated, they want to stack up newer bands against older ones who haven’t done anything recently, logically, it has to relate to the whole history of prog.
