US forces are using music from Thin Lizzy, Metallica and The Offspring to try and force Taliban insurgents in the southern Afghanistan province of Helmand out into the open.Said one officer from these American forces: “Taliban hate that music. Some locals complain but it’s a way to push them to choose. It’s motivating Marines as well. There are no obscenities but we tell them they’re gonna die”.
It’s not the first time American troops have used rock and metal bands as a weapon. In fact, it’s becoming almost the norm!

good idea, try some scorpions, miaden and iced earth,or just send in john lydon, ted nugent, and jon schaffer that would sort the problem out

Do you guys read your own company’s archives? This isn’t news. It goes back to the late 80s and the Noriega campaign. There are some websites give us NEWS. Want to join them?
And I think that is Kick Ass! Isn’t that better than bullets? They ought to thro out some “Ted Nugent”: Stranglehold baby! ha! Maybe some Black Sabbath also!…Or some Skynyrd “Give Me back My Bulletts!
Maybe they could use the same tactics on some western governments who have , in recent years demonstrated that they also are a useless bunch of bastards . Long live rock and roll !!
Must be annoying for the Taliban as it probably prevents them from listening to their own Cat Stevens and Rage Against the Machine CDs.
