Track Of The Day: Year Long Disaster
If you thought that bands featuring the offspring of famous dads should, by and large, be locked in a vacuum, then you have to hear Year Long Disaster, a glorious exception to this rule. Which is why they provide today’s Track Of The Day. Click here for previous Tracks Of The Day.
The chap with the famous dad here is guitarist/vocalist Daniel Davies, whose father is Kinks guitar legend Dave Davies. Together with bassist Rich Mullins and drummer Brad Hargreaves, Davies has created a trio with a sound that is both retro – harking back to the blues-rock of the early ’70s– but with a modern pop-rock torque.
The band only really got together at the end of 2004, when Hargreaves (formerly with Third Eye Blind) joined up. After signing to Volcom Entertainment, they released their self-titled, debut album in 2007, produced by Jim Waters. Subsequent touring with Velvet Revolver, The Cult, Clutch and The Sword got them major attention. Now they’re ready to unleash new album Black Magic: All Mysteries Revealed. This is due out in March.
In the meantime, you may download the song Show Me Your Teeth for free here.
That link has all the relevant info on the band as well.

Will look forward to this when i finally get home after work..
