Year Long Disaster are a trio based In Los Angeles – and they’ve a growing reputation. Now, with the release of second album Black Magic: All Mysteries Revealed, they provide today’s Track Of The Day. Check out all the latest Tracks Of The Day.

The band started in 2003 when guitarist/vocalist Daniel Davies, son of Kinks legend Dave, teamed up with bassist Rich Mullins from Karma To Burn. Although initially their relationship was more sybaritic than musical, meeting drummer Brad Hargreaves of Third Eye Blind gave the pair a a sense of vision and focus.

That was in November 2004, following which the trio became Year Long Disaster, released an EP and eventually signed to Volvom Entertainment. In October 2007, their self-titled debut album was put out. Following this, with many predicting big things, the band toured with the likes of Motörhead, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Clutch and The Cult.

Now with the release of the new album, the band have lined up UK shows:

April 19: Newcastle O2 Academy

April 20: Glasgow Cathouse

April 21: Manchester Academy 3

April 22: Sheffield Corporation

April 24: Birmingham O2 Academy

April 25|: Bristol O2 Academy 2
