Track Of The Day: X-Engine-X

Our Track Of The Day comes direct from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada – complete with bonus gas-guzzling three-litre V6 powerplant. Check out previous Tracks Of The Day.

X-Engine-X are a loud, aggressive, guitar-driven band which started in early 1998 and quickly built a solid club/web fan-base with a dedicated street team based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

The band have completed several tours of Canada’s midwest, sharing the stage with the likes of Nickleback, Filter, Flybanger and The Headstones.

X-Engine-X were also hand-picked by Godsmack to be the opening act during their stop in Winnipeg in 2006.

X-Engine-X have two EPs to their name: Distortia and Inner Demons. After spending a year working on their debut album, After The End, X-Engine-X are now busy focusing on their live show, in support of their efforts in the studio.

Released February 2008, recorded at Vambo Sound Productions (Winnipeg), mixed by Duane Baron (LA), and mastered by Jamie Sitar (Vancouver), After The End features a strong rhythm section, killer guitar solos, and soaring yet searing vocals.

Our Track Of the Day is Still, the opening song on X-Engine-X’s After The End album. You can download it for free here. (Just search for the band under ‘X’.)
