Track Of The Day: Wuthering Heights

If the idea of a symphonic speed metal band grabs ya, then you’ll love Danish dervishes Wuthering Heights. So for those fascinated by the whole notion of such a musical style – trust us, you’ll love it! – then we are delighted they’ve given us the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the recent Tracks Of The Day.

The band started in Copenhagen during the early 1990s, getting their first real break in 1996 when they were featured on the compilation album Extremity Rising Vol. 2. Debut album Within – the first part of a trilogy! – was released by prog rock/metal label The Laser’s Edge/Sensory. Second album, To Travel Evermore, followed in 2002, with Far From The Madding Crowd happening the next year.

The fourth studio album, The Shadow Cabinet, was released in 2006, and their most recent album, Salt, has just come out. The current line-up features only one original member, guitarist Erik Ravn, now joined by vocalist Nils Patrick Johansson, guitarist Martin Arendal, bassist Teddy Moller, keyboard player Andreas Lindahl and drummer Morten Sorensen. Between them, they’ve also played with other like-minded bands such as Astral Doors, Lions Share, Loch Vostak, Aurora and Pyramaze.
