Track Of The Day: Wired Desire
We’ve been banging on about young Scottish band Wired Desire at Classic Rock for ages now. And with good reason too. Click here for previous Track Of The Day’s.
The quintet deliver hardass rock of the highest order, guitarist Jam worships at the shrine of Slash (different hat, though) while singer Kieran Daly commands a crowd like he’s playing Wembley. Nazareth’s Dan McCafferty calls them “the best support band we’ve had in forty years”. And he should know.
Right now Wired Desire are in the middle of recording their debut album (they released their debut Barely Illegal EP last year), and here’s your chance to hear a brand new track.
If you wanna check out Wired Desire in the flesh (no doubt Badlands will be in their set) they’ll be announcing brand new tour dates soon.

Grrr.
er Bill I don’t have to read the article I have known about this ace band well before it was featured here and I’m not so petty as to single them out as Scottish, don’t tell me I’d have never of guessed it your Scottish and hate the English. sigh!
Saw them live supporting Bad Company at the Glasgow Garage last year. Great sound, but…the singer is an arrogant arsehole and the lead guitarist is a ‘Slash’ wannabe
@ Col R: Kieran, “the lead singer” is FAR from an “arrogant arsehole” i know these guys personally and i’ve never met a band who are as amazing as them that arent full of themselves. Wherever you got your opinion, you should see about getting your money back mate! An you can’t deny Jam’s skill either. WD are the most awesome rock band SINCE GnR. That’s pretty much all that matters!
