Track Of The Day: Winter In Eden

The first Track Of The Day of a brand new week comes from fast-rising British symphonic metallers Winter In Eden. Check out all the past Tracks Of The Day here.

Winter In Eden’s new CD – actually their third release – will be released next week, through Lycan Records. It’s titled Echoes Of Betrayal.

The North East-based combo describe themselves as symphonic metal, but to these ears are an enticing mix of classic female vocals (courtesy of Vicky Johnson), rousing keyboards and powerful guitar lines.

The rest of the band are Steve Johnson (keyboards), Samuel Cull (guitar), Ian Heddle (bass) and new drummer Steve Hauxwell (ex-Marshall Law).

Winter In Eden have been a going concern since 2009, having played with the likes of Delain and Pythia.

Their previous two releases are an EP entitled At The Edge Of The World and a full album called Awakening (2010).
