Track Of The Day: Warrant
Warrant are about to release their first studio album in five years. They provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The Day here.
The band started in Los Angeles in 1984 and, after recording a demo for Prince’s Paisley Park label, they singed to Columbia in 1988. They released their debut album, Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich, the next year, following it up with Cherry Pie in 1990. Both albums sold over two million copies in America and made the Top Ten. They also had bit singles with Heaven and Cherry Pie.
Since then, the band have had a chequered time, due to line-up changes and also various musical trends coming and going. But the band have ridden through it all to arrive at their present situation, where four members of the band during their halcyon days are back together. They are guitarists Erik Turner and Joey Allen, bassist Jerry Dixon and drummer Steven Sweet. Completing the five-piece is vocalist Robert Mason (ex-Lynch Mob), who joined in 2008.
The band release their eight studio album, Rockaholic, through Frontiers on May 30. It’s been produced by Keith Olsen and mixed by Pat Regan.
