Valient Thorr have a decade-long history, mixing beards and riffs in a way that appeals to stoner heads, metalheads and those who like their music to bristle with a massive bellow. And they provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the Tracks Of The Day.
From North Carolina, the band started in 2000, self-releasing debut album Stranded On Earth in 2003 (limited to 1,000 copies). A deal with Volcom Entertainment led to second album, Total Universe Man, coming out two years later.
Legend Of The World was issued in 2006, with Immortalizer released in 2008. That same year, Valient Thorr played at the Download Festival, with the DVD In Heat rounding off the year, telling their story up until that point.
Now, with a tour supporting Mastodon in the US imminent, the band are finishing up their fifth, as yet untitled, album with top producer Jack Endino.
