Apart from Helloween, the band are influenced by Queen, Judas Priest, Metallica, Mozart and… Cyndi Lauper! Which makes for a strangely convoluted mix, but in the hands of these Italian gladiators, it all seems to work rather well.
Led by vocalist Alessandro Conti, the band of guitarists Luca Cabri and Guido Benedetti, bassist Leone Villani Conti and drummer Mirko Virdis have just released their second album, Tin Soldiers. It sees them stretching out beyond what might be regarded as the usual power metal confines, and even features former Helloween singer Michael Kiske on two tracks, these being Hello Moon and Tears Against Your Smile.
The bad have already toured around the world, and are surely going to make their mark in the coming year or two.
