Track Of The Day: Toxic Federation
Despite their death metal oriented name, Nottingham’s Toxic Federation are actually very much cast in the classic hard rock vein. Click here for previous Tracks Of The Day.
Taking their cues from the likes of Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Jimi Hendrix and Thin Lizzy, this is one Federation that comes across like the Foo Fighters jamming their fingers in Black Tide’s plug board.
The five-piece feature vocalist Michel Emms, guitarists Jake Graham and George Coleman, bassist Alex Stroud and JR Windsor. They won the Best Unsigned Band 2006 (Under 18s) in the Nottingham area, and have opened for both Saxon and Hot Leg. They’ve a self-released album, Behind The Mask, available now, and have the work ethic and focus to make their mark.
