The reappearance of The Soundtrack Of Our Lives in Classic Rock – be it in the mag or on the website – is long overdue.

The last time we gave the Swedish band any serious coverage was w-a-a-a-a-a-y back in issue No.39, in our Future Classics section.

Back then we described their music as ‘an uncategorisable blend of garage rock, progressive, pop, blues and even indie influences’.

These days they’re being touted as ‘Scandinavia’s greatest post psychedelic hard rock punk pop group’ – so, hell, it’s as difficult to pigeonhole ’em as ever.

On the eve of the release of TSOOL’s sixth studio album, Communion, the band have made available an exclusive track for free download.

The song is called Swim Like A Bird and it won’t be included on the new album.

TSOOL frontman Ebbot Lundberg tells us: “Communion is a classic double album, with 24 tracks – nearly 100 minutes of music. There’s so much creativity going on in the band, the best thing is to do long albums.

“All we want to do is make great records. It feels like right now we’re at our peak, that’s how we feel, and if everybody goes along with that, that’s fine. All I can say to people is: ‘Don’t miss this.’”
