Track Of The Day: The Smoking Hearts

They’re loud enough to disturb a woolly mammoth that’s been frozen in a glacier for a zillion years. This is punk’n'roll, with the emphasis on Ramones and Motorhead. And The Smoking Hearts provide our latest Track Of The Day. Check out all recent Tracks Of The Day here.

The band have only been going for a touch under three years, but based in London they’ve already caused something of a commotion in motion thanks to the self-released records, Blood Money and Give ‘Em Hell (no relation to the Witchfynde NWOBHM classic).

Now the boys are about to hit with the album Pride Of Nowhere which bears all the hallmarks of what happens when you let loose four nutters, fuelled on garage-metal fumes and dosed up to the eye sockets on raw meat rock’n'roll. The album is out on March 8.

The band members glory in the names Lethal (he’s on vocals), Nobba and Barker (they play guitar), Calvin (the bass man) and Matty (he pounds the drums).

If all this has got you a little intrigued, then download the song George Street Wrestling for free here.
