Track Of The Day: The Smashing Pumpkins
The Smashing Pumpkins have made the first of no fewer than 44 new tracks available for free. And it is the latest Track Of The Day. Check out recent Tracks Of The Day here.The Pumpkins are currently recording new album Teargarden By Kaleidyscope, and each song will be given away by the celebrated 1990s band. They will then collate them into four EPs, each featuring 11 tracks.
“Each song will be made available absolutely for free, to anyone anywhere,” says mainman Billy Corgan.
“There will be no strings attached. Free will mean free, which means you won’t have to sign up for anything, give an e-mail address, or jump through a hoop. You will be able to go and take the song or songs as you wish, as many times as you wish.
“The EPs will be more like mini box sets rather than your normal CD single. We may also offer other variations for sale – say, for example, a digital single with a demo version of a song.”
