Track Of The Day: The Cave Singers

They warble in underground chambers. They croon in caverns. They trill in tunnels. Come inside to get the latest song direct from the Track Of The Day dugout…

Seattle trio The Cave Singers released their second album, Welcome Joy, this past Monday (August 17).

Produced by Colin Stewart (Black Mountain, Destroyer, Ladyhawk), the release is far richer and more interesting-sounding than their debut (2007’s Invitation Songs) and sees the band perform their dramatic, forlorn and occasionally triumphant music in a wonderfully autumnal haze.

Derek, Marty and Pete are due to tour the UK this autumn, further details to follow imminently.
