Track Of The Day: Terry Brock

Terry Brock has just released his second solo album. And he provides the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The Day.

With experience fronting both Giant and Strangeways, two acclaimed melodic rock bands, as well as time spent with Le Roux, Kansas and Steve Morse, Brock has close of 30 years in the music business, having first got a break doing backing vocals on Kansas’ 1983 album Drastic Measures. But he really made his mark with Scottish band Strangeways on the 1987 album Native Sons, followed by Walk In The Fire two years later.

After this period, the American vocalist spent time in New York and Nashville, before joining The Sign and then Seventh Key, both of which also featured Kansas bassist Billy Greer and guitarist Mike Slamer.

Now, as he sings for Giant – taking over from Dann Huff – and is also part of the reunited Strangeways, Brock has got together his own album, Diamond Blue, working once again with Slamer.

To get a taste of this, download the song Jessie’s Gone, co-written with Strangeways guitarist Ian Stewart, right here.
