From Heartlyne through Zeno to Fair Warning, Germany’s Soul Doctor have been in the making for over 20 years. But they’re here and burning now. Moreover, they’ve provided the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the recent Tracks Of The Day here.
Guitarist Chris Lyne and singer Tommy Heart first worked together in Heartlyne, starting out in 1986. It was 13 years later that they reunited to form Soul Doctor, influenced by the style of Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Bad Company… oh, and Led Zeppelin.
The first two albums, self-titled (2001) and Systems Go Wild (2002), established the band’s sound, also getting the chance to tour with both Dio and Alice Cooper.
Recruiting former Skew Siskin bassist Jogy Rautenberg on a full-time basis, Soul Doctor delivered third album For A Fistful Of Dollars in 2005, following which they signed to Metal Heaven.
Fourth album Blood Runs Cold hit the streets running in 2007, with the band getting the chance to play at Sweden Rock and Firefest. And now, with original drummer Zacky back in the line-up, they come through with Way Back To The Bone, which has just been released.
