Track Of The Day: Slaves To Gravity
Rated as one of the most exciting young bands in Britain. Slaves To Gravity have given us their new single as the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the Tracks Of The Day.
Just four years on the scene, the London band started in 2006 when three former members of The Ga Ga’s – vocalist/guitarist Tommy Gleeson, bassist Toshi Ogawa and drummer Jason Thomopoulos – teamed up with guitarist Mark Verney, a former member of Ariel-X.
Debut album Scatter The Crows came out on the band’s own Gravitas label in 2008. Touring with the likes of Bullet For My Valentine and Aiden, plus an appearance at the Download Festival, helped to push the Slaves’ cause forward.
Last August, Spinefarm reissued the first album, as well as putting out new single Doll Size. With Thomopoulos quitting the band for family reasons, STG finally settled down with a new line-up in March this year, when former Pitchshifter drummer Jason Bowld came into the frame. Now, they’ve a new album ready for release next month. It’s titled Underwaterouterspace.
The first single from this is Good Advice – and that’s available for free right now at www.slavestogravity.com
