Track Of The Day: Shok Paris
Shok Paris have reunited after 21 years. They’ve a new album on the way, and provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The Day.
The Cleveland metalheads first got together in 1982, getting their first exposure on the 1983 compilation Cleveland Metal. A year later, the band released debut album Go For The Throat through Auburn Records. Four years later, the band put out second album Steel And Starlight through IRS. An American tour with Savatage helped to augment Shok Paris’ position as underground heroes, and in 1989 put out final album Concrete Killers.
Soon afterwards, they split up, unhappy with their management and label. However in 2009, the band returned. Now with a line-up featuring Vic Hix (vocals), George Mihalovich and Ken Ero (guitar), Kel Berkshire (bass) and Jan Roll (drums), they’re about to release the album Decharge Electrique, on the Auburn label.
To get a taste for the band’s cult metal approach, you can download the song Steel And Starlight (On Your Feet) here.
