Track Of The Day: Serpentine
Serpentine are a band determined to give British melodic rock some much-needed credibility. Have they successfully done that? Check this lot out for yourselves, because here’s the new Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The Day.The band started in 2007, featuring guitarist Chris Gould, bassist Gareth Vanstone and keyboard player Gareth D. Noon. A year later, the band got a massive break when they got in Shy vocalist Tony Mills, regarded as one of the finest singers in the genre.
The line-up was completed by guitarist John Clews and drummer Charlie Skeggs, with their debut album, A Touch Of Heaven, being recorded at Mad Hat Studios in Staffordshire. It’s just been released about AOR Heaven.
Says Noon: “Seven of the tracks are written by the band’, and we added a few more to spice it up… but my absolute fave has to be Whatever Heartache. This is the natural ‘single’ and was actually the first track Tony co-wrote with us. I went away to Germany for a couple of months and when I got back, Chris had double tracked guitars all over it and the chorus was just killer!”
Now you can hear what Noon’s on about for yourself. Download the song Whatever Heartache for free at http://rapidshare.com/files/368355669/02_Serpentine_Whatever_Heartache.mp3
