Track Of The Day: Robert Plant
Nominated for both Grammy and Brit Awards this year, Robert Plant’s stock is higher than ever. And he provides the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the Tracks Of The Day here.
The former Led Zeppelin icon has been carving out his own massive solo niche since 1982’s solo debut Pictures At Eleven. Spanning styles from rock’n’roll to Americana, he has established a reputation firmly away from Zeppelin. And his most recent album, last year’s Band Of Joy, has been one of his most critically acclaimed.
Recorded in Nashville, it drew together a disparate band of musicians, working on songs from a wide range of talents. One of these songs is Central-Two-O-Nine, which was co-written by Plant with Nashville legend Buddy Miller, who co-produced the album with the singer.
