Track Of The Day: Ratt
Ratt will release their first album in 11 years later this month – and the LA titans have decided to give away one song from it. For free! Which is why the band provide our latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the recent Tracks Of The Day.
Ratt’s new release, Infestation, is the seventh studio album of the band’s career to date, the first being Out Of The Cellar, released in 1984.
Three of the Ratt gang still remain from those glory days, when the band regularly sold more than a million copies of every album, and both Bon Jovi and Poison supported them on American tours. That trio are vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Warren De Martini and drummer Bobby Blotzer.
They’re now teamed with former Quiet Riot guitarist Carlos Cavazo, who replaces the late Robbin Crosby (who died in 2002) and bassist Robbie Crane (taking over from Juan Croucier).
The new-look Ratt will not only be playing at the Download Festival on June 13, returning to Donington after an absence of 25 years, but they’re also headlining dates at Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall on June 17 and the Islington O2 Academy in London on July 8.
Now the band are giving away the song Eat Me Up Alive. All you have to do is head to www.roadrunnerrecords.co.uk and you’ll be hit with a big Ratt splash – click’n'go! You have to register, but that just means typing in your email address. But you better hurry – the track is only available until 4pm (UK time) today (April 7).
