Track Of The Day: Primitai
Primitai are young band from London who have real connections to NWOBHM – and do it well. They provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the Tracks Of The Day.
The five-piece, who are clearly inspired by early Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Raven and the Tygers Of Pan Tang, started out in 2007, releasing debut single Primitillian Man three years later. In 2008, they followed this with debut album Through The Gates Of Hell, and last year they won the Surface Unsigned band competition at London’s O2 Arena.
Now, things are really hotting up for the band – Guy (vocals), Nick (lead guitar/backing vocals), Srdjan (lead guitar), Jamie (bass) and Chris (drums) – because on October 4, they release new album The Line Of Fire. Leading up to this, they have a strong of live shows, starting on August 25 at The Gaff in North London, on a bill also featuring From.Great.Height and New Device. They then play:
Sept. 10: Southampton Joiners
Sept. 26: Reading Sub 89
They follow this up by supporting White Wizzard at:
Nov. 5: Wolverhampton Slade Rooms
Nov. 6: Dublin Academy 2
Nov. 7: Belfast Auntie Annie’s
Nov. 8: Glasgow Cathosue
Nov. 10: Sheffield Corporation
Nov. 11: Manchester Satan’s Hollow
Nov. 12: Milton Keynes Sno Bar
Nov. 13: Nottingham Rock City
