Track Of The Day: Penguins Kill Polar Bears

Penguins Kill Polar Bears have a new single due out at the end of the month. And they provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The Day here.

This Scottish band are seen as following in the footsteps of Aerogramme, The Smashing Pumpkins, Silverchair and Biffy Clyro. Formed in 2008, the music is ‘hope drenched post-rock’…that’s their description anyway. They’ve already released two EPs, and on May 23 a new single, Sapling, is put out.

You can see the band – Benjamin Proudlock (guitar/vocals), Fraser Sanaghan (guitar), Gavin Cormack (bass) and Kieran McGuckian (drums) – on tour during May:

Sun. 22: Llandudno Cross Keys

Mon. 23: Guildford Boiler Room

Tue. 24:  London Camden Dublin Castle

Thu. 26: Leeds Milo

Fri. 27: Aberdeen Tunnels (14+ show)

Sat. 28: Edinburgh Cabaret Voltaire (14+ show)

Sun. 29: Glasgow Captain’s Rest

Now, you can download an acoustic version of Sapling for free right here. And here’s the video for the new single.
