Track Of The Day: Laika Dog
Laika Dog, featuring Terrorvision’s Tony Wright, recently released a new album. They provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The Day here.
When Terrorvision split up in October 2001, vocalist Wright teamed up with bassist Paddy Morall, who was in a local Yorkshire band called The Slow Emotion. Eventually, the other two members of that group – guitarist Sim Morall (Paddy’s brother) and drummer Mike Parry – also joined, and the new foursome took their name from the first dog in space.
They spent a considerable time writing songs and building a strong following through a lot of live work. They released debut album Forever And A Day in 2005. And April this year, their self-titled, new album was put out on the Too Many Robots label.
So, what do they sound like? A combination of British grit and melody. And you can hear it all for yourself on the song Revelation, which is available to download for free right here.
