Track Of The Day: Knifeworld

Knifeworld have just released a new EP. They provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The Day here.

The band is a vehicle for Cardiacs guitatist Kavus Torabi. It showcases his more psychedelic leanings, and was initially conceived as a solo project. But following the release of debut album Tales Of Crushing Defeat, it was expanded into a full band.

Torabi is now joined by Iraqi oud player Khyam Allami (drums), North Sea Radio Orchestra mainman Craig Fortnam (bass), Chrome Hoof members Emmett Elvin and Chloe Herrington (keyboards and sax/bassoon, respectively) and former Cardiacs vocalist Melanie Woods.

The EP Dear Lord, No Deal, on the Believers Roast label, is the first record to have the current line-up. It includes the song Pilot Her, which you can download for free right here. This combines punk with complex rhythms and vocal harmonies,
