Track Of The Day: Kingskin
It’s a Kent cacophony, inspired by Primus, Nirvana and Alice In Chains. Click here for previous Tracks Of The Day.
Kingskin are a garage band, with a hint of grunge, a sniff of funk and a certain stoner sensibility. They started in 2003, based in Dover, since when they’ve gone out and played anywhere and everywhere, honing their skills in an old school style.
The four – that’s vocalist/guitarist Chris Lamb, guitarist/vocalist Jak Chandler, bassist Trevor Lynes and drummer Russell Watts – recently recorded their debut album with the celebrated Steve Albini. And they proudly say they used analogue recording methods.
The album, Slug, is due out on November 2 through Sounds Of Caligula.
