Track Of The Day: Karma To Burn
One of the great names of stoner rock, Karma To Burn returned in 2009, seven years after splitting up. And the West Virginia crew have provided the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the Tracks Of The Day.
Karma To Burn released three albums from 1997 to 2001, two of which were instrumental records. They disbanded when bassist Rich Mullins joined Speedealer. Subsequently, he joined Year Long Disaster. In the meantime, drummer Rob Oswald was brought in by Nebula and guitarist William Mecum hooked up with a band called Treasure Cat.
Karma To Burn reunited last year, and toured extensively. Now they’ve released a new album called Appalachian Incantation, which was produced by Scott Reeder of Kyuss, a band who heavily influenced KTB. Released by Napalm Records, it’s mostly an instrumental album, although there is one track with lyrics. This is titled Waiting On The Western World, with Daniel Davies from Year Long Disaster on vocals. And guess what? You can download it for free right now. Just go here.
