Track Of The Day: Grand Magus
Grand Magus have long been regarded as one of the best post-stoner bands in Europe. Now you can find out for yourself at absolutely no cost. Because they provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the Tracks Of The Day.
The band was started by vocalist/guitarist JB and bassist Fox at the end of the last decade/century/millennium. A split single with the Spiritual Beggars happened in 2000, with JB actually joining that band, while also remaining active with the Magus. Subsequently, the trio (with Trisse on drums) released three albums on Rise Above, these being Grand Magus (2001), Monument (2003) and Wolf’s Return (2005). Trisse was then replaced by Seb for 2008’s Iron Will, as the band’s sound got ever closer to Dio-era Black Sabbath.
Now signed to Roadrunner, Grand Magus are to release new album Hammer Of The North next month. But right now you can get hold of the track I, The Jury for free at www.roadrunnerrecords.co.uk/. But you’d better hurry, It’s only available until 4pm BST on Friday, May 14.
