Track Of The Day: Eden’s Curse
Eden’s Curse have just released their all important third album. And they provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The Day here.
Multinational melodic rockers, Eden’s Curse started in 2006, releasing their self-titled, debut album the following year. A second record, The Second Coming, was put out in 2008. Now they’ve just issued Trinity on the AFM label. It features the line-up of vocalist Michael Eden, guitarist Thorsten Koehne, keyboard player Alessandro Del Vecchio, bassist Paul Logue and drummer Pete Newdeck. And this is the album that should establish Eden’s Curse as a world class melodic metal band.
This time, they’ve also brought in some heavyweight guests, including Helloween singer Andi Deris and Dream Theater vocalist James LaBrie. The later duets with Eden on the song No Holy Man, as well as doing backing vocals on the rest of the album. Says LaBrie:
“In 2010 I was fortunate to discover Eden’s Curse. I absolutely love this band. Great players and people, they deserve nothing but huge success! They belong with the best of today’s music. Trust me, you’re going to love this album from beginning to end “.
The album even closes with a triburte to the late Ronnie James Dio in the form of a cover of Rock ’N’ Roll Children. A fitting reminder of how Eden’s Curse have taken their roots and developed from there.
Right now you can download the song No Holy Man for free here.
