Track Of The Day: Disturbed
Disturbed are to release their fifth studio album at the end of next month. And they’re giving us all a taste of what’s to come with the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the Tracks Of The Day.
The Chicago band, who’ve become one of the staples of nu metal, started out in 1994, under the name of Brawl. Two years later, vocalist David Draiman joined. As guitarist Dan Donegan recalled of his audition: “Out of all the singers that we had talked to or auditioned, he was the only singer who was ready to go with originals. And that impressed me, just to attempt that”.
A name change to Disturbed followed with debut album The Sickness coming out in 2000, making it into the US Top 30, selling over four million copies. Since then, the band have been consistently successful everywhere.
Earlier this year, they released a 10th anniversary expanded edition of The Sickness, as well as a DVD called Decade Of Disturbed. Now, the foursome (with a line-up completed by bassist Mike Wengren and drummer John Moyer) are about to unleash Asylum, their new album.
