Los Angeles psyche rockers Darker My Love prepare us all for their upcoming album by giving up the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the Tracks Of The Day.
The band started in 2004, put together by vocalist/guitarist Tim Presley and drummer Andy Granelli. The line-up’s completed by rhythm guitarist Jared Everett, bassist Rob Barbato and drummer Will Canzoneri.
Their self-titled, debut album was released in 2006, followed by 2 in 2008. A year later, Granelli quit the band, since which time they’ve had a succession of drummers, the latest of which is Dan Allaire.
While, their music has been labelled as being psychedelic, Presley has something of a problem with that term:
“Everyone is psychedelic now. It’s like the new punk. It’s literally turning into that Frank Zappa song—Who Needs The Peace Corps?. There’s nothing wrong with that type of music but—it’s an easy tag. As easy as punk.”
