Track Of The Day: Crippled Black Phoenix

Crippled Black Phoenix release their fifth album on January 30. They provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The day here.

The UK post rockers started out in 2004, and feature members associated with Iron Monkey, Electric Wizard, Mogwai and Gonga. What they do has a lot of progressive elements, and Pink Floyd have been cited as one major influence.

The current line-up is Justin Greaves (multiple instruments), Karl Demata (guitar/Dobro), Mark Furnevall and Mark Ophidian (synths/keyboards) and Christian Heilmann (drums). Their new album is a double CD  titled (Mankind) The Crafty Ape, and is released by Cool Green Recordings, which is part of Mascot.

Says Greaves: “It’s like finally being able to breathe and the music is now reaching more of its potential. I’ve rarely had a recording session where every part of the process and musical layers has made the whole thing better and better almost without trying…it just feels right”.

Now you can download the song A Letter Concerning Dogheads for free right here.
