Track Of The Day: Cradle Of Filth
Infamous metalheads Cradle Of Filth are to release the first album on their own label on November 1. Right now, they’re offering us the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The Day.
The new album is called Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa and is to be put out by the band’s own AbraCadaver label (through Peaceville). It’s the band’s ninth studio album and, says mainman Dani Filth: “It’s the fastest and most brutal album we’ve created to date. It’s like Iron Maiden on crack in a graveyard of angels!”
Filth is joined on the record by guitarists Paul Allender and James McIlroy, bassist Dave Pybus, keyboard player Ashley Ellyllon and drummer Martin Skaroupka. This is a concept album, based on Adam’s first wife, Lilith.
Continues Dani Filth: “It’s a gothic horror themed slay-ride of fervour and perversion; yet amidst the orchestral melodrama and lush, cinematic production, there sits stalwart a ravening beast of furious riffing, flesh ripping vocals and monstrous, unstoppable percussion.”
