Track Of The Day: Chrome Hoof
Chrome Hoof, the electro-doom-funk-disco 12-piece, have a new album on the way. It’s titled Crush Depth – and they’ve given us a song from it absolutely free. So, welcome to the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the Tracks Of The Day.
So who exactly are Chrome Hoof? Well, the core of the band are the Smees, Leo and Milo. While the former is also bassist for Cathedral, in this ensemble, he plays synths, percussion and does vocals. Milo, meantime, operates behind the drums, as well as taking care of synths and percussion. Their self-titled, debut album came out in 2004, followed by Pre-Emptive False Rapture three years later. There’s also the 2006 EP Beyond Zade.
The only way to describe the band is to… well, not describe them. You have to experience the Hoof for yourself. And on April 22 at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, they’ll play the whole of the new album, with a 10-piece choir and 21 musicians in all – wacky or what?!
After this, the metal chamber mob carry on to play:
May 2: Salford Islington Mill
May 21: Bristol Thekla
May 22: Brighton Audio
May 29: Leeds Brudenell Social Club
May 30: Glasgow Optimo
