The duo from Wollongong – hardly the rock ‘n’ roll capital of the universe – got on a plane in 2007, travelled over the Europe, and proceeded to tear across the continent, doing shows anywhere and everywhere.
Their infectious blend of The Cult, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Rose Tattoo is infectious, energetic and almost gravity defying. BugGirl might just be a duo, but they make enough racket for a whole orchestra.
Continuing the plot to take over most of the solar system, the band are back in the UK during November for yet another tour. This is in support of the EP Blood, Sweat & Beers, which was produced by veteran Mark Opitz (AC/DC, Rose Tattoo). And that title says everything you need to know about this lot’s philosophy.
