Track Of The Day: Black ‘N Blue
Black ’N Blue have just released a new album. They provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The Day here.
The band started in 1981 in Portland, Oregon. Originally called Movie Star, they appropriately (give that name) relocated to Los Angeles the next year and became Black ’N Blue. Their self-titled, debut album was released in 1984.
They released three more records, before splitting up in 1989. Two – 1986’s Nasty Nasty and 88’s In Heat – were produced by Gene Simmons (Jonathan Cain of Journey was also involved with the former).
The band reunited in 2003, albeit without guitarist Tommy Thayer (who’d joined Kiss). However, the rest of the original line-up was intact, namely vocalist Jaime St. James, guitarist/keyboard player Jeff Warner, bassist Patrick Young and drummer Pete Holmes. Together with new guitarist Shawn Sonnenschein, they started work on the Hell Yeah! album, although this was delayed when St. James joined Warrant.. However, it’s finally been released by Frontiers.
