Track Of The Day: Bangalore Choir
Bangalore Choir are a band who go back to the early 1990s, and also connections with Accept, Bon Jovi and Aldo Nova. Now, as they prepare to release new album Cadence on September 27, they provide the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all Tracks Of The Day.
The band’s debut album, On Target, was released in 1992, featuring songs co- written by Jon Bon Jovi and Aldo Nova. However, it failed to make the impact the musical quality deserved. And the band split up. There was an attempt to reunite in 2008, but this fell apart. However, now it’s succeeded. Original members David Reece (vocals, and briefly with Accept at the end of the 80s), Curt Mitchell (guitar) and Danny Greenburg (bass) are joined by guitarist Andy Susemihl (ex-U.D.O.) and the incredibly named Hans I’nt Zandt (drums).
Now signed to AOR Heaven, the band finally have their second album ready to roll. Says Reece: “We knew if we were to make a new record; in order for it to be viable, we had to keep some of the old formula that worked so well in the past and I think we have! Cadence continues with the same blistering guitars, pounding rhythms and big hooky choruses of old, but because Andy and I work so well together, it has also picked up a totally new side to it which wasn’t possible in the 1990s.”
The band will play their only UK show this year at Firefest on October 30. This happens at Nottingham Rock City
